In music I consider myself a very eclectic music fan but I’m usually listening to Rock en Español. I used to be the DJ for a show in WERW called Spanish Rock 102. Some of the bands I consider my favorites are: (Nirvana, The Cranberries, The Doors, Aerosmith, Rage Against the Machine, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Fiel a la Vega, Robi Draco Rosa, Bob Marley, Metallica, Cypress Hill, Molotov, Control Machete, Puya, Santana, Rancid, Flogging Molly, Santos Inocentes, The Beatles, Manu Chao (and Mano Negra), Phish, Orishas, Sublime, Tenacious D, U2, Operation Ivy, Soda Stereo, Ska-P, Jarabe de Palo and I can go on and on…
Regarding writing… well I write mostly short stories and articles. I’m working on a fiction book but its turning out to be harder than what I thought. I write poetry once in a while but I like prose. I write in both Spanish and English depending on the audience I want to reach. Some of my favorite authors are Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Aldous Huxley, Edgar Allan Poe, George Orwell, Earnest Hemingway, Juan Antonio Ramos, Hunter S. Thompson, Federico Garcia Lorca, John Holloway, Pablo Neruda, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Antonio Gramsci, Benedict Anderson, and again I can go on and on…
I love to go to live concerts or bars with live bands playing. I enjoy old parts of towns. My favorite place in the world is still so far my beloved Old San Juan… part has to do with the fact that I’m from Puerto Rico. I also enjoy browsing the web and chatting online. I have several web journals because I love to just express myself in writing… My perfect life would be living a life where I have to travel around the world and write about my experiences or get the chance to write about the new music coming from Puerto Rico in a magazine. Another possible future for me is writing some political column in a newspaper or write books about policy…When I retire I expect to gather enough money to open up a bar/cafe and live either above it or somewhere very close and also teach in some university but that is all when I get older… preferably when I get to 50 or 60.. who knows… I’m hoping the future will surprise me but I keep my plans in mind to have a direction. I'm attentive, low maintenance, supportive, emotionally fit and secure with a good heart...I'm also in great shape. I like to keep active--working out, running, biking, travel, exploring new places--from new coffeehouses, to new cities, to unexplored areas, to galleries, to films, to sports. I love art--both applied and looking. I paint, shoot black-and-whites, write, and can read your palm. I've lived most of my life on the eastcoast (Boston)and would say that I have an eastcoast type mentality--urbane, sharp, what you see is what you get. I have very eclectic tastes in art, writing, and music (from Billy Bragg, to Billie Holiday, to down tempo trance, to Portishead, to Coldplay, to Coltrane). My appetite for music and food are limitless. I'm warm (outside and inside), considerate, romantic, sarcastic (not that bad), youthful, independent, sexy, playful, and I'll challenge you in good ways.

The petals glistening, fresh with morning dew

The insects come to spread your blessed dust
Across the mountains, then to distant plants
That wait for that to them which is a must
That for which your life you solely trust
Your seeds are carried by the tossing wind
And nested gently deep within the ground
You sprout anew in places far away
And grow in health, your life without a sound
